SPML had recognized the importance of Smart City almost three decades ago, when it started building urban infrastructure for the future. The broad understanding of the Smart City requirement enables SPML to anticipate new trends and develop new infrastructure and technologies faster than others.
SPML has been a pioneer in water, wastewater, sanitation, energy and infrastructure initiatives and is working on IT enabled integrated water management & distribution system, smart power transmission and distribution network, wastewater treatment and re-use, integrated municipal solid waste management & waste to energy, modern sewerage network, effective asset monitoring & performance system, interactive consumer complaints management system, mobile applications for consumer self-services among others.
Flagship Project: Vikram Udyogpuri Smart City, Ujjain
SPML Infra is developing smart infrastructure for Vikram Udyogpuri, an early bird project under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), part of the Pithampur-Dhar-Mhow Investment Region in Madhya Pradesh. Awarded by Vikram Udyogpuri Limited, a Government of Madhya Pradesh enterprise, the project is being executed in joint venture with Om Metal Infraprojects.
The site covers 1,100 acres, located about 8 km from Ujjain and 12 km from Dewas. SPML is delivering the project on a Design Build Operate (DBO) basis: three years of construction followed by five years of operations and maintenance.

Water Infrastructure
